For FX spot and FX forwards, the trade tiles are colour-coded red (to sell) and blue (to buy) for all instruments where:

• Prices are in real time
• The market is open

Instruments are otherwise colour-coded grey. Non-tradable instruments have non-clickable tiles.

Totality offers a variety of orders, including Market, Limit and Stop orders.

Totality benchmarks trades against the CME CF Bitcoin and Ether Real-Time Index. These indices are registered benchmarks under the European Benchmarks Regulation (EU BMR)

Trades cannot be executed below the minimum trade size.

Totality uses FIFO (First-In-First-Out) rules when netting open FX positions. This means the first position you open is the first position to be closed, provided the positions are on the same account (and none of the positions have related orders attached).

For example, a client is trading EURUSD and has opened the following positions:

1. Buy 1,000,000 EURUSD
2. Buy 1,000,000 EURUSD
3. Sell 1,000,000 EURUSD
4. Sell 2,000,000 EURUSD

In total, the client has a position of Sell 1,000,000 EURUSD.

The first long position (#1) nets out with the first short position (#3). The second long position (#2) nets out half of the second short position (#4), leaving only one short position of 1,000,000 EURUSD.

Totality is open for trading 24 hours a day, 5.5 days a week, opening on a Monday morning in Australia (05.04 local Sydney time) and closing on a Friday evening (16.59 Eastern Standard Time).

Some currencies have special trading hours, as shown in the table below:

* If no liquidity can be sourced in the market, these trading hours may be further reduced. This will be determined on a day-to-day basis.

FX spot, forward and option prices stop streaming from one minute before the end of the trading day (17:00 Eastern Standard time), and remain non-tradable for five minutes. Liquidity can be thin during this brief interval, and Totality encourages you not to trade at this time.

The NOP value is the sum of all currency exposures, converted into the client’s account base currency.

Clients whose NOP value exceeds their NOP limit will only be able to place orders that close positions or reduce their NOP value.

Trading hours for CFDs on Crypto FX crosses adhere to the trading hours of Crypto Futures offered on the CME exchange.

Trading Hours for BTCUSD, BTCEUR, BTCJPY, ETHUSD, ETHEUR, and ETHJPY are:

• Monday: 17:00 – 15:55 CT (18:00-16:55 EST) 
• Tuesday: 17:00 – 15:55 CT (18:00-16:55 EST) 
• Wednesday: 17:00 – 15:55 CT (18:00-16:55 EST) 
• Thursday: 17:00 – 15:55 CT (18:00-16:55 EST) 
• Friday: 17:00 – 15:55 CT (18:00-16:55 EST) 

Please note the underlying cryptocurrency market remains open on weekends. Any Crypto FX exposure should be managed before the FX trading session closes on Friday evening.

Totality FX Metals trading hours follow the CME Group holiday calendar. Additional trading conditions for FX Forward Outrights: Netting

An open forward outright position will be treated as a normal spot position when its value date equals the current spot value date. Thereafter, positions held at the end of a trading day (17.00 Eastern Standard Time) are rolled forward to the next available business day.

If the value date of the position equals the current spot value date (i.e., the position is changing from a forward position to a spot position), closed forward outright positions are netted out.

During holidays, markets and exchanges around the world are closed over certain holiday periods.
