Do I need an LEI code to trade certain instruments with Totality?

All corporate clients of Totality  who trade OTC derivatives (such as FX and CFDs) are required to provide Totality with a valid LEI code.

For more information, please refer to ASIC’s website.

What is an LEI Code?

An LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) is a globally recognized 20-character alphanumeric code used to uniquely identify legal entities participating in financial transactions. Each LEI is unique to the legal entity it is issued to and cannot be assigned to another entity.

Please note that an LEI does not replace a company's national registration number.

For further details, please visit APIR’s website.

Where Can I Obtain an LEI Code?

There are several global providers that can assist you in obtaining an LEI code. A few examples include:

  • APIR
  • LEI Register Australia

This list is not exhaustive and does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Totality. You should conduct your own due diligence to determine which provider best suits your needs.
