CFD cash adjustments function similarly to dividends on your CFD positions. On the platform, you can view dividends and other corporate actions related to your CFD positions under the Corporate Actions tab, just like for your equity positions. However, the event names may differ; for example, a cash dividend for CFDs is typically shown as a Manufactured Dividend.
Another important distinction is that, although these events may appear under Voluntary Corporate Actions, no election options are offered for CFD positions.
Since the term "CFD dividends" is not entirely accurate, the correct term used is CFD cash adjustments. These adjustments are visible in the CFD Cash Adjustments Report, not in the Share Dividends report.
To download the report, navigate to: Profile> Scroll down and select Download report > Choose CFD cash adjustments under Report type.
When the underlying stock goes ex-dividend, entitlements (adjustments) are allocated to your account.
Cash adjustments for CFDs are booked on the ex-dividend date, based on your eligible holding as of the day before the ex-date. This reflects the market price movement on the ex-date, although the actual cash payment will be settled on the official pay date.
