Why do I receive the error, ‘Trade would exceed client exposure limitations’?
Some products have an exposure limit, which you can find under the Trading Conditions tab of the specific instrument.
If you see the error message "Trade would exceed client exposure limitations" when placing an order, please review the exposure limit and adjust your order quantity accordingly.
For example, if the exposure limit for GOOG:xnas options is 11 contracts, attempting to place an order for 12 contracts will result in the order being rejected.
